"I.C.C.A. is a spiritually-based organization with its foundation rooted in the acts of accountability, forgiveness, fellowship and love." - Harry Nakoa
Harry Nakoa is the founder and chief operator of I.C.C.A.
Nakoa hails all the way from Hawaii's Big Island and has a passion for training "green" horses using non-aggressive, non-violent methods.
While many people in the horse business know Nakoa as an excellent horseman, he is better known as one with a gift for guiding others in the direction of personal transformation using one of God's most awesome creations -- the horse.
As a young man, Nakoa was taught Hawaiian spiritual principles and studied the teachings of Ho'oponopono. Nakoa used what he learned to understand and train horses. Growing-up in what Nakoa refers to as the school of "Hard Knocks," he realized that horses and humans react the same under emotional duress. This discovery led him to develop a method he calls "Silent Thunder." He describes "Silent Thunder" as the projection of energy and respect of space that leads to inner peace and balance.
During his many years of operating his family's ranch in Hawaii, Nakoa began envisioning a type of learning center where people could come together to live, work, and share their cultural experiences. ICCA is that dream finally realized. Most people ask why in the world he chose Texas over Hawaii to build his vision, in which he simply replies,
"In Texas, all things are possible, the people here have big hearts and big dreams!"
